Let’s gear up to head back to the birthplace of the Power Moms Network–the Mom 2.0 Summit! Today, she welcomes Laura Mayes, co-founder of Mom 2.0, to share the journey of creating a community for not just women, but mothers in particular that empowers them through new media and networking opportunities. They reminisce and relate on a very deep level about the challenges of being mothers in tech-oriented spaces and creating room for finding and nurturing connections that help tech-centric entrepreneurial mothers flourish. Their conversation explores the origins of Mom 2.0, the evolution of motherhood in the digital age, and lessons from the pandemic on parenting and business. Laura emphasizes the importance of connection, adaptability, and the shared experiences of mothers in navigating their roles in both family and work.
Producer Jaime shares how integral the Mom 2.0 Summit was in birthing her vision for the Power Moms Network. Then, Laura Mayes discusses the themes of resilience and creativity in the face of chaos–particularly in the context of motherhood and community building. And, together, they emphasize the importance of modeling life skills for the next generation, the value of networking and collaboration among women, and the significance of leadership and personal growth. The conversation then wraps by highlighting the upcoming Mom 2.0 conference and the opportunities it presents for connection and learning. And, they share an amazing opportunity for YOU to join them this year in Orlando, FL with a huge discount on your ticket.
